Ultimate access to Fiji's best surf waves.
With sail fiji, you'll be able to surf the best spots without the crowds - first light, and sunset. Being anchored within a short dingy ride to your preferred wave, you'll also get to pick the best times of the day, as conditions and crowd sizes change.
Swimming Pools
Swimming Pools is the perfect playground for both advanced surfers and beginners. The right-hander is known for its steep wall waves and consistent conditions (although the waves tend to be a little smaller in summer). Good in any tide.
Cloudbreak
A world class left reef pass that is regularly voted one of the 10 Best/Most challenging waves in the world. There is a good anchorage nearby, so you can dingy out when the crowds thin out, and/or the waves turn on. Better on a low tide, but good in any tide
Wilkes Passage
Another fun right-hander in the Mamanuca Islands, Wilkes is a reef break that tends to suit all abilities. When the wind direction is from the northeast, the wave peels off into the safety of a deep channel (but still watch out for rocks and rips). High tide only.
Restaurants
Not too far from Cloudbreak, but slightly less gnarly, Restaurants has ideal wave sizes of 3-8ft (1-4m). Restaurants is another must-surf wave for the advanced, mainly as the conditions need to be just right, medium to high tide, to avoid the dangerous reef below. It also needs a relatively large swell to work with offshore east and southeasterly winds. All that aside, when the conditions are right, Restaurants has perfectly tubular waves that make some of the best to ride in Fiji! Generally best mid to high tide, unless you're extremely confident and don't mind negotiating dry reef and coral heads.
Namotu Lefts
This lefthander is a fun, playful wave suitable to most surfers' abilities - rather short and sometimes sectiony, but well worth it. Located across the channel from Wilkes Pass, of course, when the swell gets big, this wave gets much heavier, but it is still nothing like Cloudbreak or Restaurants.
Deperations
Desperations is a right and left peak that breaks off a point and is the go-to spot when the ocean is having an off day. It catches any southerly swell and tends to have a wave when everywhere else has nothing to offer.
Tavarua Right
Tavarua Rights is a fun right handed break that is a great choice if the lefts just aren’t breaking for you at Cloudbreak or Namotu Lefts. Long and shortboarders will all find something to surf in Fiji at Tavy Rights, and it’s usually not crowded. It’s a good time for surfers of all styles. Best in a mid to high tide.
